Multiple File Download For Liferay Documents and Media Display Portlet

Liferay OTTB Documents and Media Display Portlet doesn’t have feature that allows to download multiple files. If you want to download more than one file, you have to download them one-by-one. To overcome this, we have created a hook which allows to select and download multiple files bundled in a zip. You can find download links for hook war and source files at the end of this blog.

Below is screenshot of Default Liferay Document and Media Display Portlet. Make sure "Show Action" is enabled by going to Portlet Configuration > Display Setting > Enable  Show Action

After you deploy the hook in Liferay, you get "Download Selected" button as shown in below screen shot.

Select files to download and click on  Download Selected  button

Select Files and Click on Dowload Selected
