Dedicated to supporting mothers throughout their breastfeeding journey, our client is a leading manufacturer and retailer of hospital-grade breast pumps in Florida, US. Compliant with WHO standards, their core strengths lie in affordability and high-quality products since its establishment in 2008. Going beyond mere products, the company is committed to delivering invaluable resources and support to mothers on their breastfeeding voyage.

Aiming to modernize their operations and improve efficiency, the healthcare manufacturer planned to migrate its business from Oracle NetSuite to a modern and reliable ERP solution. Also, to gain a holistic view of their operations and streamline their workflow, the company planned to integrate their Shopify platform with the new ERP system.

Business Needs & Challenges

  • Operational complexities: Managing their operations on Oracle NetSuite posed challenges due to its overwhelming interface, limited customization options, and the need for advanced coding.
  • Fragmented ERP-Ecommerce channels: The absence of ERP-Ecommerce integration resulted in siloed information and processes, leading to inefficiencies and business management challenges, including inventory inaccuracies, delays in order processing, limited automation, inconsistent data, as well as difficulties in obtaining reports and analytics.
  • Custom helpdesk system: This lack of a centralized and organized helpdesk system for ticket management led to several nightmares for the business, including lost tickets, delayed responses, miscommunication, ineffective workflow, and delays in ticket resolution.
  • Excessive operational costs: The pricing model for NetSuite was complex with add-ons and hidden fees. Also, fragmented channels between ERP and Ecommerce incurred additional labor costs, integration expenses, training efforts, maintenance, and compatibility expenses along with risks of errors.


To effectively address the client's challenges, we planned to implement a dynamic and modern ERP system for operational efficiency. Our goal was clear: streamline operations and integrate Ecommerce with ERP software.


Open dialogue with the client helped us clearly understand their existing operations on NetSuite, configurations, data complexity, and customization needs. We recommended Odoo ERP and mapped out a roadmap for a smooth migration.


We created a user-centric interface for Odoo, developed custom features by translating existing processes into Odoo workflows, and validated data checks. Also, we designed extra prototypes for customizations and Odoo-Shopify integration.


We developed scripts and tools for extracting and transforming data from NetSuite to Odoo, implemented customizations to Odoo modules, and integrated Odoo with Shopify Ecommerce. We also tested migrated data to ensure accuracy & performance.


We trialed the new Odoo system with a select user group for testing. Then, we implemented it for all users, providing ongoing support. We devised a plan for continuous improvements, including maintenance and updates for the Odoo system.
