Coupon codes / Promotional codes are provided by the sellers to increase their sales and to stay in the market. Odoo provides us this useful feature. In this tutorial, I will explain you how to use Coupon code / Promotional code functionality in the E-commerce website of Odoo. So let’s start it.

Step 1: Configure the pricelist:-

We have to activate pricelist to use coupon code feature. Follow below steps to activate it:

1. Go to menu Sales > Configuration > Settings.

2. Under ‘Quotations & Sales’ label, you will find ‘Advanced pricing based on formula’ with label ‘Sale Price’.

3.Now click on ‘Apply’ button. Now you can see ‘Pricelists’ menuitem under ‘Configuration’ label.

Step 2: Create coupon code:-

1. Go to menu Sales > Configuration > Pricelists > Pricelists.

2. Click on Create button.

3. Enter the coupon code in “E-commerce Promotional Code” and add the items for which you want to apply discounts.

Step 3: Add this pricelist in the website:

To use this coupon in website, we have to add this pricelist in ‘Website Pricelist’. Please follow below steps to do it:

1. There is a ‘Website Pricelist’ menu just below ‘Pricelist’ menu. Just open it.

2. Click on Create button.

3. Select the pricelist which you created for the coupon code.

Step 4: Add the product in cart:-

1. Go to menu Website.

2. Click on ‘Shop’ menu.

3. Select the product.

4. Add that product in the cart.

Step 5: Activate coupon code configuration:-

1. After adding product in cart, Shopping cart page will be displayed.

2. Click on ‘Customize’ menu.

3. Tick on ‘Coupon Code’.

4. Now, you can see coupon code text box in cart page of website.

Step 6: Apply coupon code:-

1. Write the coupon code.

2. Click on Apply.

3. If the coupon code exists in Odoo then the related discount will be applied, other wise there will not be any discount.

4.Click on ‘Process Checkout’ button to continue with your order.
